I started Every Step Moving Planners after experiencing the process involved in transitioning my parents into assisted living and memory care facilities. The daunting job of downsizing a four bedroom home with thirty plus years of stuff my parents accumulated was overwhelming. At the time we were unable to find a resource available to assist us with all the necessary aspects of moving and cleaning out a home. After my parents passed and my career changed starting this business became my passion. Helping families, couples, and individuals through this process has been the most rewarding experience. I truly am blessed to get up everyday and do a job that I love!

Mary Gerst

For more than 15 years, Mary managed a fast-paced podiatry medical practice with a total of 2 doctors and 9 technical and administrative staff.  She worked closely with insurance companies making sure that all claims were processed correctly representing both the patient and the doctor.  She coordinated her staff to attend quarterly and yearly conferences ensuring that all were up-to-speed on the latest medical advances.  Prior to this, Mary has several years of sales and management experience in and out of the medical field.

Mary enjoys a wide spectrum of volunteering – in her “early years,” she proved to be an overseas mission volunteer asset.  Once she started her family, she pivoted her volunteer efforts as a Girl Scout Leader and by coaching various sports such as softball, volleyball and basketball.

Mary’s favorite hobby is to travel with her family and considers her major accomplishments as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, environmentalist and entrepreneur.
